Yuqi obtained her PhD from the School of Public Health and Social Work, Queensland University of Technology, researching on epidemiology and health economics of diabetes-related complications. She then accepted a post-doc research position in cancer epidemiology, specifically using large registry data in Sweden to understand the risk and prognosis of breast cancer.
Overall Yuqi has a passion for working with data to solve research problems, with interests in chronic disease epidemiology, including diabetes and cancer. She has an interest in understanding inequality in health outcomes across populations and geographic areas. Yuqi has skills in epidemiological study design, data analysis, and health economics.
