Mu is researching bivariate small area estimation methods and applying to smoking prevalence across Australia under a relatively high resolution. His PhD project is part of the SPARSE (Smoking Prevalence for Australia with Reliable Small-area Estimation) project. He has interest in the relationship between socioeconomic factors and spatio-temporal patterns.
